Yesterday, a great milestone was celebrated by our family. It was such fun to give our happy outdoor picnic A Festive and Fun 4th of July Party with a bit of flair.
A Festive and Fun 4th of July Party
I simply set up a folding table and layered it with two different vintage tablecloths. Our indoor dining chairs were topped with comfy red and white cushions.
The centerpiece did double duty as the caddy was loaded up with extra napkins, plates, and utensils in addition to a bit of pretty.
Red and white transferware was topped with blue Chinoiserie dishes and set upon seagrass mats. Grandma Mary’s silver accented the antique ticking napkins. The citrus sun tree was really refreshing.
Of course, the star of the show is always the food. Everything was prepared ahead of time so the day itself could be relaxed and easy.
Various meat and vegetables were grilled the night before. The simple bottled Italian marinade made everything delicious even when served cold. Have you ever tried white asparagus?
The cheese board with fresh seasonal fruit was so yummy!
Classic Coca-Cola in mini bottles was dressed up with patriotic pinwheel straws from TJ Maxx. Do you add salted peanuts to your coke?
I went back for seconds.
Rudi would like to wish you and yours a safe and happy fourth of July!
How will you celebrate?
