Cute Pom Pom Pot Votives

Here’s a fun, easy and frugal project to help dress up your summer patio.

Summer Home Tour 034

I think all of us have seen a million variations of painted pots filled with succulents on Pinterest. Surprisingly, I couldn't find any brightly painted pots used as votives. Topping the mini pots with trendy pom poms is so simple but too cute not to share.

For this project you will need mini terra cotta pots, various colors of acrylic patio paint, a paintbrush, mini pom poms, white tea light candles, a hot glue gun and glue sticks.

Paint the pots. Some of the lighter colors require a few coats. Once dry simply hot glue on the pom poms to the upper edge of the pot.

As a rule, you can easily pop a votive candle out from the metal container. If it sticks a bit just pop it in the freezer for 15 minutes and that should do the trick.

Place the tea light inside the mini pot. It fits perfectly. Light and enjoy.

This week I am going to continue to work on the patio and garden so it can be shared next Monday for my dear friend Marty’s Summer Home Tours.

Happy pots all around,
