We have had several weeks of continual thunderstorms in my neck of the woods. It’s a bit frustrating as overcast skies do not make fine friends when trying to shoot design photography. But I don’t want to dwell on the lack of sun. So I thought I would share images from an article I recently found about outdoor garden rooms. Gypsy Caravans, Shepherd Huts, and Tin Tabernacles. The article included traditional greenhouse and conservatory type spaces that England is famous for. But it was a ... View the Post

Listen
Tears streamed down my face as I struggled to climb onto the metal gurney so an x-ray could be taken. Sleepless night after sleepless night due to pain. Day after day of lying in bed when I needed to be doing so much more. Through it all, for some reason, I didn’t pray for healing. My bedroom is currently a white box. The walls are white. The bedding is white. The only contrast is the dark wood furniture. I need a Sunny and Bright Bedroom. It was A Sweet Fabric Feature From Thistlewood Farm. She showcased my fabric banner, fabric covered clothespins, button magnets, and wee needle books. Fabric Needle Books Yesterday several of you inquired if I could provide a few more photos of the needle books. Your wish is my command. I apologize for the photo quality. It has been ... Nobody Special
I recently attended a design event. As I approached the venue I saw a room full of well-polished people. Nothing can make me feel more like my awkward 12-year-old self… just desperate to fit in. Nobody Special. I scanned the crowd and someone caught my eye. She was standing in the corner tightly clutching her purse. I made my way over to her. “What a crowd. Looks like a lot of important people.” I said, a bit cheekily. She responded, “Yeah, I’m not sure why I’m here. I’m nobody special.” ... View the Post
