Oh I can hardly believe this is the last day of April. This month has just flown by. This past week was all about painting projects. The freshly painted mantle was hung and I began to try out various groupings of accessories. I also found some pillows for the couch that were almost the perfect color palette…. I just added a bit of watered down “Florence” chalk paint to a few of the flowers and the entire room is now tied together. Sweet Guy was recently assigned a final art project ... View the Post

Creating Covered Buttons and Other Delights with Vintage Fabric Scraps
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am now smack dab in the middle of finals week in school. Creating Covered Buttons and Other Delights with Vintage Fabric Scraps. Creating Covered Buttons and Other Delights with Vintage Fabric Scraps Last week as I rearranged my office/sewing area I found myself looking at some wee bits of leftover fabric from the aprons I had recently made. Illustrated Faith
Are you ready to fall down a beautiful rabbit hole? Here is the gorgeous worked of Illustrated Faith. Illustrated Faith I adore the website Illustrated Faith. One Room Challenge…It’s Week WHAT???!!!
It’s week 4 dear friends and this time the ORC is kicking my behind! It doesn’t matter that our exterior drainage problem has finally been resolved and I can begin cleaning the mud out of my carpets. It makes no difference that I conquered a major ant infestation. No one is really interested in the two lengthy compare/contrast art history papers I wrote, the 9 lectures I attended, or the test I aced. There were also the 6 aprons that were sewn and shipped out earlier this week. But none ... View the Post
Eleanor’s Aprons
So many of the things I adore such as antique lace and vintage textiles I learned to love from my Grandma Jingles. This has resulted in a very special and heartfelt project, Eleanor's Aprons. Every time my grandmother and I were together we would hit the thrift stores and she would scour the newspaper for estate sales so we could go in search of hidden treasure. Neither of us needed a thing, but it sure was fun. If you add in the extensive collecting she had also done the 50 years prior well, ... View the Post
