On The Seventh Day She Rested

Thank you to all of you who have inquired if I am ok. I am.

I really hadn’t meant to take such a long break but I found that I really needed it.

These past 13 weeks I have been taking a Women in U.S. History class. The class has required the reading of six rather large books. Instead of tests the class required the weekly writing of four small papers. Yep, four papers every week on various topics. The good news is that there is no way to fudge a paper so I have really learned my stuff.

In addition, there were four large research papers, a mid term and a final which I will take tomorrow.

In short, much like a telephone operator wants nothing to do with a phone after their shift ends I have had absolutely no words leftover for DTA.

But rest assured during this self imposed exile I have been busy with all sorts of projects. Some were pretty and others were just pretty necessary. Like finally buying new bed pillows for all the beds. Truthfully, it’s been a few years. Sweet Guy and his friend, Mr. J., helped me take the old pillows to the animal shelter. They were SO THANKFUL to receive them.

May you find the rest that you need.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” ~ Matthew 11:28

“I said, Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.” ~ Psalm 55:6

“The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” ~ Exodus 33:14

I don't know how you manage to keep up with everything going on in your schedule but look at you go! No wonder you have run out of words for your blog. lol
I never thought of taking the old pillows to the shelter. Thanks for the tip. They seemed too good to just throw out but are too flat to be comfy.
Enjoying summer here but projects seem to be the word of the season. But new kitchen floor put down and some more odd jobs completed. Every time another one gets done it seems like a weight is lifted. :)
Best of luck on your final (which I know you will pass in flying colours) and hope you get a wee bit of a chance to put your feet up and rest before fall sets in.

Hi Laura! You are truly going to be the smartest one! I can't imagine having to read and comprehend text books. Well, I'm old now! ;) Take care of yourself and you were on my mind a few days back and I was wondering how you were. Thanks for letting us know.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I do hope that you will do well with your class. You sound so busy and a break from blogging is needed sometimes. Do take care and be well.

Hope your final went perfectly!!
Tell me more about the new pillows....we are in need at our house too!
The princess Posie cat came from a local rescue, so I shop the garage sales and thrifts for towels, blankets, sheets, bath mats etc., and a couple of times a year we pay the shelter a visit. They are embarrassingly glad to see us with our black bags of "stuph". Posie gets lots of kisses and hugs!
Blessings to you,
