A $3 Summertime Hostess Gift

Hello dear friends I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

A truly lovely opportunity came up that I will share with you very soon. To fully enjoy it I need to take a 2 week break from the French summer travel series posts as they do require a bit of time to edit, research and write. In the meantime, how about some fast and fun DIY d├ęcor?

This darling summertime hostess gift checks all the boxes.

I found a bag of citronella candles in fun summertime colors and the glass jar at the dollar store. Citronella candles are perfect for keeping summertime pests away while enjoying the outdoors. The small bit of raffia and the seashell were things I already had on hand, but you can also find these items at most dollar or craft stores.

I quickly arranged the candles in the jar, closed the lid, wrapped a bit of raffia around the top and added a seashell with a dab of hot glue.

A perfect and inexpensive summertime hostess gift ready in under 5 minutes!

Are you attending any summertime events?

It would be a welcome gift in this area as the mosquitoes are bad this time of the year.
