This past Saturday I attended a wonderful Garden Party. Everything was so pretty.
The event featured wonderful food.
And I met one of my longtime blogging hero’s.

I have been a fan of Jenny Komenda’s blog and her interior design work for several years. It was an absolute delight to meet her in person. She was so lovely and effervescent.
Last week Jenny invited bloggers to attend a sunshine filled event.
The event was held at the Arrowhead Home Depot and the day was just beautiful. A large tent had been set up for all the guests.
What a delightful party it was!
Wee gnomes happily welcomed one and all.
Inside the tent guests of all ages enjoyed the invitation to decorate a terra cotta pot.
Inspiration struck me when I spied the rows of succulents on hand to fill the pots with. (More to come later in the week. 🙂
Other inspiring interactive areas included instructional cards that you could take home.
New patio furniture was on display…
…as well as a wonderful grilling area that included recipe cards of the festive fare being prepared.
I really enjoyed speaking with two of the other Home Depot hostesses, Kate and Melissa. They were wonderfully friendly and so helpful in answering my many questions. One was if the delicious chicken was served in corn husks. Indeed they were! How clever is that? As a matter of fact all of the food was served in natural or biodegradable party ware. Two green thumbs up Home Depot!
I loved the fence surrounding the tent and thought that the decorative touch of photos attached to twine could also work well at other events such as weddings.
There are several other garden parties planned for other regions very soon. You can become a member of the Garden Club HERE. Each upcoming party will feature flora, fauna and cuisine of the region.
For example the Phoenix party focused on Southwestern food and succulent plants which do well in our gardening zone~ 9b. In addition, one of the Home Depot Gardenieres is also on hand to answer any gardening questions.
Of course the best part is the amazing deals on plants. I quickly loaded up a cart and will be transforming my front entry in springtime splendor very soon.
I hope you’ll join me for the Décor To Adore springtime gardening event all this week.
Tomorrow~ Transforming the front entry.
Wednesday ~ Creating a darling succulent planter.
Thursday ~ A Springtime Wreath for Under $10.
May you have a blooming beautiful day!
