Recently I attended the Tinkerbell Marathon held at Disneyland to cheer on two of my childhood chums. I thought that my dear friends deserved a prize for their grand efforts when they reached the finish line.

I began with some wooden discs that Sweet Guy had used for a school project last year. (They were purchased at Hobby Lobby. You can also find plain wooden discs at most craft stores very inexpensively.) I took a knife to pry apart the two discs that were glued together and then spray painted the discs white.
After the disc was dry I simply used the disc to trace a circle onto some gold and white scrapbook paper and then glued it on. The pale periwinkle paper was cut out using my silhouette machine. I added some glitter details. Various ribbon was glued onto the disc between the paper layers. Next, a rosette was layered on and topped with an image of Tinkerbell I found online and printed out on cardstock.
To make the rosette I used a Martha Stewart miniature scoring board and bone folder I found out Hobby Lobby for $10.99. (I purchased it during a 50% off sale.) The board helps in scoring the paper to create folds.
Once the paper was creased I simply folded it back and forth in an accordion fashion.
The ends were then glued together with hot glue.
You then just push it flat down to create the rosette shape and add a dot of hot glue in the center to hold it.
I found Tinkerbell colored water at Wal Mart and simply tied a length of French ribbon around the top and tied it in a bow. A metal pin had been attached to the back of the award disc so it was just pinned to the ribbon.
The thirsty girls loved their prize!
