A loose translation:

Title: I need your prayers.

This morning I take my last exam. It is an oral examination of French. I can read French. I understand French. But I have a hard time speaking French.

Please send good thoughts.

The semester will all be over by 10 AM. I can’t wait. Because I will then have four glorious weeks off.

I need to get cracking on the Christmas décor because as of right now this is the only decorating I have accomplished. One side table that holds my children’s advent calendar.

The rest of the house looks like Christmas exploded. And not in a good way.

DTA 012-001

And yes, I am still fighting with garland.

DTA 013-001

Did I mention that I am hosting a holiday cookie exchange on Sunday afternoon? Yes, this Sunday. No pressure.

Everyone is invited.

If you will be in Phoenix Sunday afternoon leave me a comment.

  1. A ton of good thoughts are coming your way. Bonne chance. xxx

  2. You've got this, Laura! All of it! And please don't take offense when I say this - it is from a dancer's perspective and sent with the best of wishes - Merde!

  3. Mme Gunn!
    Sieze l'examen de français!
    Apporter le jour de Noël!
If anyone can do it, it would be you, my friend!

  4. Bonne chance, mon amie! It has been a long time since I have studied French, but I think I have the above correct!

  5. Hugs and a whole bunch of happy thoughts headed your way! :)
Your decor is years ahead of mine right now...we've not even gotten to the "Christmas exploded" stage. This Friday night my kids are supposed to be performing a Christmas concert, and so THIS WEEK all three girls have come down with colds...
I also still have two more formals to alter. NO STRESS!
We're moms. We will survive. :) Happy, happy Christmas break to you!

  6. Laura I know you will be sooo thrilled to have a 4 week reprieve from classes and exams!

My holiday decor is very simple this year, candles, wreaths, Santas, mercury glass etc!

  7. Good thoughts coming your way! You'll ace it, I'm sure. I had six years of French and really can't speak it either. Keep telling the hubby I need to go to France to sharpen up on my skills:) Happy holidays! xoxo Kathleen

  8. I admire you for going for it with the French. I want to learn it as well, more than the semester in college way back in the day. Good luck.
If all your decorations aren't done to your satisfaction, don't sweat it. Have the guests help or just use candle light and say good enough! Merry Christmas!

  9. Said a prayer for your final exam, Laura! ♥

  10. You are going to do great!

Have you tried wrapping a piece of the garland around the nails?

  11. Je prie pour toi, que Dieu te benisse.

  12. Best of luck on your exam! You will be awesome!

  13. I am in phoenix. No cookies though. Never met but sad you may leave my town. Hope your test went well.

  14. Hi Laura, wow I give you a lot of credit going to school! I wish you a lot of luck and hope everything goes well. Don't worry about all the decorating & shopping and pace yourself. It all seems to get done eventually and it can be stressful! Maybe your children could help out a little with decorating. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the holiday and thanks for the sweet comment on the stuffed mushrooms! When I made this it was gone in seconds. Lol Take care. Julie at Julie's Lifestyle
