What’s The Story Wishbone?

A few eagle eyed readers spotted a wishbone in the Thanksgiving tablescape and wanted details.

Back in August I found this heavy wishbone at a thrift store. I liked the happy go lucky symbol and brought it home where it has been part of a vignette in the man cave. The finish was a bit tarnished and worse for wear.

Nothing that a bit of Rust-oleum metallic gold spray paint can’t fix.

I love how the gold gleams against the dark green.

Now make a wish.

Love it!

I do this with Thanksgiving turkey wishbones, spray painting them and marking the year on them. Painted wishbones also make great wedding or shower gift embellishments. They're sort of a gift trademark of mine. *wink*

A beautiful table. I keep, clean and spray our Christmas turkey wish bones and add them to a wedding gift for the bride and groom to break together.
Best wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving
