Cuts Like A Knife ~ FFP # 10

Welcome to Friday’s Favorite Pin! I’ve recently written a few posts that featured my kitchen. A few eagle eyes spotted my crème colored knives resting in a butcher block on the counter top and wanted to know where they were found.

I myself first spied the knives on one my favorite blogs~ French Kissed. Madame Chastain featured her daughter Haleigh’s darling Paris kitchen.

After much obsessive googling I found that the knives were created by Wüsthof. Now I already owned three black handled knives from this brilliant German company, but since I cook everyday I was looking to add a few more to my cooking tool box. :)

The crème knives are hard to find. But I did locate an online site here.

The knives are an investment to be sure. Each holiday Mr. Décor has gifted me with one knife procured from an ebay auction. I still have my eye on one more knife and thankfully Christmas is coming….

However I do use my knives every single day. To say that they cut well is an understatement.

Has an image ever led you on a Google goose chase?

Laura

I can’t wait to see what you pin up gals and guys found this week. You can link to a post you created or a pinterest URL ( I explained how to do this HERE.)

Yes, it can be your own creation that you have pinned.

I love these knives! So pretty and they fit perfectly in your kitchen. Nothing is more necessary than a good set of knives and Wusthof does make a great knife.

Have a wonderful weekend! =)

It is so rewarding to find something when you see it somewhere and find a source for it as well. The ivory is lovely on your counter. I wonder why they makes knife handles usually in black or brown. It's usually women that cook!
As for getting the knives as presents...my mother would have been so upset. You were never to give knives or anything sharp for gifts or they would 'cut your friendship'. Pearls and opals mean tears. The only way to accept them was to 'pay for them with a penny'. How's that for superstitions? :D

Wow, those knives are definitely something worthy of an ebay chase. if I didn't already have a set of Global knives, I would be all over them. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing, liz

Laura,
I will half to share the link with Thomas. Every time he takes one out to carve it has to be sharpened. A good investment indeed.

Oh! Your Kitchen is coming along beautifully! Do you love your champagne bucket!? I did the same thing a couple of years ago. After polishing it a couple of times, I actually have decided to let tarnish.I think that will make it look a little more vintage... Your knives are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing... sigh...yet another thing to want! :)
