If The Dress Fits….

You know what they say, if the dress fits… buy it in every color.

wax museum 056

I live in Phoenix where the average summer temperature is 112 degrees. I like to look polished and professional but still try to stay cool. Dresses and skirts do the trick for me. Every summer it is a challenge to try and find such garments that are not lined in heat trapping, sweat inducing polyester or rayon.

Cruising through TJ Maxx I spotted a classic cotton sundress. It was unlined, but the fabric was a good weight. (Remember I always wear a cotton slip underneath anyways.) I saw that it came in three prints and two solids (pink and navy). Although I didn’t need the solid colors, I hemmed and hawed for a good 15 minutes asking myself “Should I buy the same exact dress?”

I then looked at the price tag again. $15.99. Yes, yes I should. If you have a need you should too.

Oh my goodness, that just might be the perfect dress! Love the shape. And for the price, you would have been silly to walk out without them!

Oh yes you should!!!! Your summer frocks look perfect on you. Your dresses are adorable and that is a real deal! You certainly couldn't make it for that. Now you will never have to wonder what to wear all summer long. When I find something that fits, and I like, I buy it in every colour that suits.
Hope you are having a good week! :)

Laura,
Like you, I prefer cotton sundresses to shorts and capris. I have no doubt you look just as beautiful in the remaining pattern. You could wear a plastic trash bag and no one would notice due to your staple accessories -- the smile on your face and love in your eyes.

Woohoo! looks great - and the fact that they are prints totally takes away the 'I wore this dress yesterday' look!

Super cute and at that price I'd have bought them both, too! I really love the blue!!!

I agree, I have been known to do the same thing. Usually with shoes, though. Can't have too many pretty dresses. I think you'd look lovely in anything, though.
I can't even imagine living in the hellish 100+ weather down there. I begin to fade when it goes over 70℉
I hide from the sun. I disrepair the first day of Spring, knowing summer is next, and long for Autumn.
You are so brave.

You throw a little jacket over it and nobody knows (well, except ALL OF US!) that it's the same dress!

Well, of course you should have bought all three (or even all five!). The completely different prints make them completely different looking dresses! Good call!

What a great dress. I've never bought the same dress in two patterns, but when I find a great tee-shirt I stock up!

You are always so stylish and what is more you do it on an extreme budget, similar to the size of my buget, so you give me hope. That takes A REALLY good eye and a degree of true creative talent.
