Nautical Niceness

I feel like whining. It is so hot. My brain is frying. You too? Let’s pretend we are someplace else. I am currently resting my head on this fabulous whale pillow.

Perhaps you would like to take a nap in the hammock? Although the shelldelier (shell + chandelier) scares me a bit.

This swayful sleeper makes me want to find an old boat and start up the chain saw. (In a good way.)

You can have the top bunk.

Ok, naptimes over. Let’s head out into the kitchen.

We could set up a seaside supper.

Or just go straight to dessert.

Do you need to wash up? The bathroom is right up the stairs…

…yes, the door on the right. You can’t miss the seashell collection.

Come sit down in the living room.

Do you see how I decorated the mantle using shells we collected?

Tomorrow we can spend the day at the beach and gather a few more shells.

I do hope your time spent at the seashore has left you refreshed.

and top it off with airconditioning problems. I am so done with this heat...I am telling you, I would love to move someplace else. It isn't happening...but I am ready.

I love the pictures! The bunk beds are my favorite part. They would have worked if being envious weren't such a weakness. Now, I'm hot and brain fried and jealous to boot.

Just kinda kidding.
I said kinda...

Oh Laura, you always find the most lovely things! :) Yes, even I - a professed-lover-of-all-things-summer have finally tired of the hot weather. Thankfully, the past 2 days have been slightly cooler. It's actually only 84 out right now and I think that these are the first two days in the past month and a half where it's been this cool. Normally it's been in the upper 90s each and every day. Still sunny here, just like every day of the past 2 months - no rain and we really need it, but it is pretty out.

Hope you have a really wonderful weekend,
Linda

That was a breath of fresh, cool air! We are sweltering too and I've often remembered how hot Phoenix was when Wendy and I passed through last summer. We are fortunate to be taking a weekend cruise next Friday and indulging in some sea breezes. Ann
