A Springtime Flower Garden

I know that many of you are just beginning to look through your seed catalogs and still dreaming of spring. In Phoenix the season begins in March. I did a bit of planting recently and thought I would share a little of what I have learned over the years.

Remember to bloom where you are planted. Even if it is in the desert.

Oh now, Laura... the weather must greatly vary in Arizona because our niece & nephew in Prescott Valley, Arizona, have been experiencing one snowstorm after another. They had snow yesterday, while we here in east-central Illinois have been enjoying sunshine and 70 degrees! :)

It's very much springtime here though no planting here until end of April for me. Many wait until after Mother's Day, but I never ever do that and have great success.

Thanks for the tutorial - I always enjoy your blog. ♥

I enjoyed your fun post as usual! Here in NY we are just beginning to see the ground again! I also speak cautiously since we had an April 1 big snowstorm a few years back.

Daffodils are blooming here, but it is not quite time to plant yet. I can't wait until I can put out some things. Love & blessings from NC!

Laura,

I loved your tutorials on transplanting. I can't imagine how hard it must be to maintain a garden in the desert. I admire your efforts. I especially enjoyed you pointing out the gunshot wound in your gnome's head. Was the suspect ever apprehended?

Little signs are springing up here but not enough to get my hands dirty yet. I did clear away the leaves from the lily beds and around the jonquils, which are ready to bloom any day now. I noticed tufts of grass are beginning to come up and buds are starting to show on the trees. How I envy real blooming plants like yours!

Yay! Spring! I have my front door decorated. The roses are doing very well and I'm satisfied with that. My green thumb is a mere stub. So I leave the planting to my Hubs! :)

I hope you are okay! I thought that we did have a law on the books about using cell phones while driving?
