Lights, Camera, Action!

The Fashionista graciously helped me in making the first Decor To Adore video.

I would love your input. Do you like videos? Do you watch them or move on to the next blog? Let your voice be heard.
Be blessed,

Hi Laura,
I liked your video, you seemed pretty natural! You know with your good looks and cool delivery you should have been an good. I didn't like that at the end it showed the choices of other peoples video's to click on - I clicked not knowing what I clicked and I saw some awful dirty carpet and a lady wearing pink slippers making her dog do tricks! I only want to see you on your blog!!! So that's my thought! I will check in for that flea market trip. Have a restful, fun time while off school. Happy New Year. Karen

Hey Laura,
Cool blog:))
To answer your question... no, I don't usually watch videos...but I watched yours, and you certainly have a point -- they do make blogging more personal. I'll have to make one sometime :D

Hi Laura,
I love your first video and will be happy to see more of them on your blog! It's always so nice to hear the voice of the person who has been writing and to get to know each personality better. You are brave for trying this(much braver than me).
I love your new blog design too! Best wishes!
Becky :)

Laura! Thank you so much for the tip there.. I hadn't a clue.. first youtube video for me and it was fun. I've uploaded bluetooth video from my cell before which seem very harmless and so easy yet I did not have the control as one does with a software editor.

So .. yes.. I like videos.. I watch them and in fact was toying with processing a few for some 'hands on projects' soon to come.

I can't wait to see your adventures from today and good luck with your 'hunting' today while out an about.

with love,

I have noticed and do like the blog makeover. You are so cute and I wish you luck with all the juggling. My friends and I have gone back to school so many times we now have a motto "friends don't let frineds enroll." So instead I teach college courses. Always a loophole!

I think you should try doing videos and if you like it keep doing it. Your fans will like what you love.

I very rarely watch blog videos.

Usually they are just too long & something that only parents & grandparents would find so funny/ incredible/ perfect.

Good luck going back to school!

Hi Laura,

I LOVED this video because it was neat to hear your voice and have a little personal visit with you. :) I do usually click on the videos of my fondest blogs/friends, but because of my characteristics, I tend to prefer the written word over audio visual presentations. Still, I found this enjoyable and because I enjoy what you have to share, I will definitely continue to watch your videos. Please though - no power point presentations, lol. A little joke my husband is familiar with... I just don't care for those particular items.

Blessings always,
Linda :)

Laura, the name of the movie was "Xanadu" with Olivia Newton-John, Michael Beck and Gene Kelly. You should rent it and the Fashionista would LOVE it. It is my favorite movie of all time.

I was able to watch your video. Seems the more I learn about you the more we have in common. I am currently studying Law.
As I said last night, regardless of the method delivery, I will continue to stop by daily to read/see what's on your mind and in your heart.

I like videos and do watch them on blogs. I know that I would be interested to watch your comments, tips, and projects in this live, personal manner. I feel as if you are talking directly to me.

You did a nice job (Rudy, too) on your first video--very smooth flowing delivery.

Looking forward to more!

Hi Laura, I watch videos of people I know. Since I have a vested interest in you, the family, Rudy and your business, I will watch. I don't know how you do it all, but anyway that is easier for you works for me!!

Best of luck this year.

Thanks so much for your comment today on my client's master bath reno. I don't know what your blog looked like before, but I love this version, the blues are fantastic. As for your question, I do both as long as neither are too long. Blogging is a ton of work as I am finding out!:)

I watch videos from time to time. I like them right along with blog reading and looking at the pictures. Together I think you can enhance blogland.

The best to you as you attend school plus all the things you're already doing. I know that taking time to unwind is good for the soul and so needed. So don't forget to breathe!!! Grins.

God bless you,

I don't watch a lot of blog videos, but to be honest not a lot of the blogs I follow have started using them a ton yet. It does seem to be the wave of the future though. Maybe I'll "adapt". :-) You did a great job on this one though - not sure I would be that composed if I tried to make one.

I like a good mix of videos and writing...

p.s. I read the ENTIRE Little House On The Prairie series (plus the additional diaries) in a few weeks when I was in 2nd grade. I adored those books. I need to re-read them sometime.
