Happy Fat Tuesday!

It's Mardi Gras!

My cousin lives in a New Orleans suburb and says that the city is full of joy, floats and parades.

Any plans for a festive feast before Ash Wednesday and the begining of Lent?

I would love to go to Mardi Gras. Your photos are the closest to Mardi Gras I'm going to get this year. Thanks for sharing.

Any day that's tittled "Fat Tuesday" sounds like a day of delicious indulgences. That's my kind of celebration. The costumes and colors of Mardi Gras are so festive and beautiful.

I've seen a style of banner that could work and it's free. A collage of your favorites. Maybe a Parisian theme of collected items. You have such great photos, you'd create a gathering of delights, for a new fresh look.
Susan, at Naps On The Porch and Heather's Present Past banner has a bit of that style I'm referring to. If you want to take a peek.

Sweet Wishes,
Sara

Happy Mardi Gras! Oh I love that cake :>) It's absolutely beautiful! We are having a Mardi Gras party and also celebrating Punchki day. I don't know that I would want to go to Mardi Gras. I heard it can be a little wild but I can't wait for our family celebration.

What is the story behind this holiday. I'm so curious! Is it just to have a good party before lent?
