A bit of pink and red

By now you have probably heard that Domino is the latest magazine victim to stop its presses. The great thing about Domino was that it made design accessible to everyone. It provided inspiration and the belief that a great room was possible with just a can of paint and a good day at the flea market. In honor of its passing I have posted my favorite pink and red images.

Classic kitchens

Lovely living rooms

Kitchy kid spaces

Breathtaking bathrooms
Pretty patios
Beautiful bedrooms

Thank you Domino for 28 great issues. Here's hoping you pull a Victoria.

I don't know the magazine but looking at your pictures I would have LOVED it too. LOVELY pinkies, and that Pink livingroom and the bathroom are my favorites, lol.

Thanks for showing them.

Very cozy, whimsical design... I love it. Too bad about the magazine, I wasn't familiar with it, but from the looks of it, I would have greatly enjoyed.

Thanks for the heads up on DOMINO, my daughter subscribes to it, I'll pass on the info. With all these lovely publications dropping like flies, it makes me wonder who will be next.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you do give the bird cage a try!

Happy Day Laura!

Laura,

I am so surprised to hear about this! Domino replaced my House Beautiful subsciption, I wonder what I will get now! When Cottage Living went under recently, they started sending me Southern Living~what a hoot, I live in Chicago!!

Thanks for the great pictures. I'm saying a prayer for all those people out of work...

Love the eat-in kitchen! Love the outside shot with the Bougianvilla.

Crazy all the magazines dropping off the map.

Have a good one!

Nice photos. Too bad about the magazine. I picked up Domino once in a while. Some of my subscription mags have also folded. I'm not sure I'd like paper magazines to become a thing of the past, leaving only online options.

Pretty post, Laura. LOVE the kitchen with red chairs. And one of these days, I'm going to put paper parasols or lanterns on SOMEBODY'S (I don't care whose) ceiling!! I need a bold client with little girls or a youthful spirit... So sad about Domino, but I'm still much more upset about Cottage Living and Country Home.

Oh my I loved each one of these designs. I'm not familiar with this magazine, which is probably for the best since it's being discontinued. What a loss. Thanks for showing the photos!

Hi! I came over to say "Thanks for stopping by my site!" but got stuck reading all your posts and looking at all you great photos. I especially liked your post on architecture. So interesting! But I had to comment here. My daughter turned her room pink last fall. :) Here's a post I wrote about it: http://tanyadennisbooks.com/2008/10/23/growing-up-girly/
